Every year as Ober prepares for their Spring Fling event, a patch of snow is melted into a small, extremely cold pool of water that is used for a pond skimming event. For the past few years, this body of water has also been a holy spot for a few who choose to make public commitments of faith by being baptized in this freezing pool. This morning before the slopes opened, another member of our Ober family made her faith public as she stood before her friends and family. We are thankful for her faith that is stronger than the bitter chill of winter; we pray that each person present on the mountain today is blessed by her commitment as they touch this holy snow and this holy water.

Andy and Jodie had a chance to spread some trail magic! This is Token from Savannah, Ga. Please say a prayer for him as he was having some “toe issues”. If your toe hurts, you hurt all over! 1978 miles to go!

It’s time for a new season of ministry as J1 students begin to arrive. So thankful for Kiara’s help to make 180 welcome snack bags to share at Ober Housing.
We will be making more to share with the Smoky Mountain Student Lodge. If you’re local, please consider donations of granola bars, peanut butter crackers, or bottles of water!
