This morning began in the dark with a 5:00 a.m. Donut Devotional for employees of Ober Gatlinburg who were setting up for our Gatlinburg Sunrise Worship Service.
At 6:30 we had 800 beautiful people worshipping the Risen Christ and a beautiful sunrise.
The Beauty continued with Mary Bragg leading music —you need to know this wonderful singer/songwriter!
The Beauty of the congregants was matched by four ministers from Gatlinburg sharing in worship.
More Beauty came in the first three campground services of the season —wonderful fellowship and lovely worship in all three services.
Lunch brought fellowship with Russ and Val Holland who care into SMRM so well.
I had a beautiful afternoon nap!
Tonight’s Easter beauty came in the form of taking two international employees from Ober Gatlinburg to the grocery store. Louis has been here since December and knows our ministry. Katy is new –or so we thought. After we had been around each other for an hour, she asked if SMRM has something to do with the international student center in Pigeon Forge. Katy worked in Pigeon Forge in 2009 and got to know us and our ministry. Now she is here for a year. Her Beauty statement tonight was that in 2004 we served her and taught her of God. Now she says, “I am a strong Christian and I am here to serve.” Great finish to Easter Beauty.
